The Anti-Atlas of Strange Maps

Strange Maps is a phenomenal blog that compiles eclectic maps from an extraordinary range of sources. I have posted a map from StrangeMaps once before, but I thought this would be a good opportunity to show off a few more of the dazzling cartographies that the site has exposed to the wider world of the internets.

Atlas of Strange Maps is the planned book version of perhaps hundreds of these brilliant maps, many of which are on the blog already.

The three maps that I have selected all pertain to music, which I thought might was a fitting way to group them. The first is a representation of the continents with musical notes and other notation. The second reflects the numerous area codes where Bill O'Reilly's favorite rapper Ludacris purports to have female friends. And the third reflects the dominant country-music states in the Union.

I'm lining up for my pre-ordered copy of this Atlas of Strange Maps. This is revolutionary, irreverent, and clever geography at its finest. The anti-atlas (mountain range) is currently in Morocco but will be coming to a bookseller near you by next year.
